We asked our readers a few weeks ago to help Jill Hennessy and her husband, Paolo Mastropietro, come up with a name for their new baby — and unfortunately, it seems they didn’t take any of our readers’ advice. Too bad! There were some great suggestions there.

The couple have kept the news very quiet — their second son was born back on November 21, according to People, and very few details have been released.

What has been revealed is his name — the newborn is named Gianni. Hey, that doesn’t even rhyme with Mastropietro, which is what the Crossing Jordan star said she was looking for. They could have gone with my personal favorite from our readers — Mario Lorenzo. Now there’s a name worthy of a celebrity baby!

Finally — a celebrity asking for help picking their baby name.

Actress Jill Hennessy spoke at City Harvest’s Bid Against Hunger fundraiser in New York City last night, and admitted that she and husband Paolo Mastropietro are stumped for a baby name for their second child, due in late fall.

She told the gathering her husband’s “last name is Mastropietro and we’re racking our brains. If you have anything that rhymes with the last name, let me know.”
