Adam And Jackie Sandler Pick Sunny For Baby Name

What a cheerful choice! Comedian Adam Sandler, 42, and his wife Jackie, 34, welcomed their second daughter on November 2, according to a new annoucement on Sandler’s website. The newborn is named Sunny Madeline. She joins big sister Sadie, who is now two years old.

No word on Sandler’s site about just why they chose Sunny. Still, it makes a nice change from some of the more contrived and precious celebrity baby names that tend to crop up. And it goes really well with Sadie!

CONFIRMED: Country music star Dierks Bentley, 33, are his wife Cassidy, 32, are expecting their first child later this year. No word yet on the gender, so we can’t start guessing the baby name yet.

CONFIRMED: American Idol former runner-up Bo Bice, and his wife Caroline Fisher, are expecting their second child in August. Bice and Fisher not only know the gender, they’ve picked out a name already! It’s Caleb.

CONFIRMED: Adam Sandler and his wife Jackie are expecting their second child this fall. The new baby will be joining big sister Sadie Madison, so we’re expecting another a cool baby name to match!

CONFIRMED: Laura Allen of the T.V. show Dirt, and her husband Bruce Weyman are expecting their first in late summer.

CONFIRMED: Sabrina the Teenage Witch star, Caroline Rhea, 44, (pictured at right), and her boyfriend, comedian Costaki Economopoulos, will be jumping into parenthood this fall. Rhea’s age is already leading to some sprightly discussion around the blogosphere!

Adam Sandler & Wife Welcome Baby Sadie

Managing to avoid the bathroom humor that permeates the films out of his production company, Adam Sandler, and his wife Jackie Titone Sandler, are the proud new parents of baby Sadie. The name is a variant of the Hebrew “Sarah,” which means “Princess.” I’m thankful Sandler didn’t feel he had to compete with names like “Pilot Inspektor” or “Moxie Crimefighter,” or he would have come up with a moniker that would undboubtedly have consigned his daughter to a childhood filled with vicious teasing. Then again, with the Beverly Hills kindergartens filled with Aces, Suris, and Apples, it may be the classic names like “Sadie” or “Jenny” that really seem weird, and catch all the teasing.
