Mel Gibson's New Baby Named Lucia
Pop culture site Radar Online was the first to break the news about the arrival of a new baby for Mel Gibson and his girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva on November 1, reporting that their new daughter had arrived in Los Angeles a couple of days earlier. The Radar Online scoop sent the Grande Dame of gossip sheets, People, into a bit of huff, as they tried to run with the story while still acknowledging that they had no confirmation:
“People is currently attempting to confirm the news” they sniffed.
Turned out that Radar Online had their facts straight, and Gibson and Grigorieva welcomed baby Lucia into their glittering Hollywood orbit.
This is the 8th child for Gibson, 53, who has seven other children from his thirty-year marriage, which is now in divorce proceedings. Grigorieva has a son, Alexander, from her previous relationship with actor Timothy Dalton (best-known for playing the worst James Bond ever in the late 1980s).
Gibson, who has not been getting himself cast in the most flattering of lights these days, is currently shooting a movie in New York with Jodie Foster. He is seen here with Grigorieva at a red-carpet event earlier this year.

Wow, Congratulation, to both of you.
You only get one chance to give the perfect gift to a baby; after then, it’s not quite the same anymore. Any other gift you give to the child may have an impact on its life, but not quite the same as the first impression from that first baby gift.
