Baby Girl Named Finley Rae For Daniel Baldwin
News just broken by People that Daniel Baldwin, and wife Joanne Smith, have welcomed a second child together, a girl, named Finley Rae Martineau. She was born this morning in Los Angeles.
As soon as I saw the name Finley I thought, that’s an up-and-coming name. Sure enough, Lisa Marie Presley chose it for one of her twin daughters, born last October.
A quick check of the Social Security baby name database shows the girl’s name Finley, while still an outlier, is indeed moving up the ranks of the top 1000 baby names in the U.S. With the new Baldwin girl now sporting the name Finley, watch for the “celeb effect” over the coming year. Hot name rising!

Poor kid, sounds like her parents wanted a boy, with two masculine names. She doesn’t even have a feminine middle name to fall back on.
