Gearing Up For Nicole Kidman Baby Name Event
As this puff piece in People shows, the gossip world is building the hype for the Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban baby event, due this summer. So we’ll do a little hyping of our own — Celebrity Baby Names style.
The big question: what baby name will Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban choose?
Keep in mind that Kidman already has two children from her marriage to Tom Cruise — Isabella, 15, and Connor, 12. Both of those names are now somewhat dated, especially Connor. Since we don’t know the sex of the baby, it’s twice as difficult to guess what the name will be, but let’s do it anyway! I don’t know how you got the idea that Isabella and Connor are dated names. They’re NOT.
Connor is 13, meaning that his name was ranked #59 in the USA when he was born, which is the LOWEST it has been ranked during his lifetime (highest rank being #43 in 2003). Most recently, it was ranked #53. Seeing as how the Social Security Administration ranks the top 1000 names for either gender every year, and name in the top 100 is far from dated… it’s downright popular.
And Isabella? It ranked #4 in the country at last count (behind Emily, Emma, and Madison). When she was born, it was ranked #482 and has been on a rapid incline. It is in no way, shape, or form “dated”.

I heard it was going to be Anthony or Janelle…Nicole’s parents’ names.
Bella and Conor already have Nicole’s parents names as their middle names. I would think Nicole and Keith might want to go a different direction this time.

if it is a girl KATE. Not a bad idea I guess it is possible to her that name it also rhyme with the name of Kieth.
@ Baby product: I don’t think she will go for Kate, since her ex-husband married Katie/Kate Holmes…
I agree with the editors– Connor is very dated. It is to the 2000′s what Jason was to the 80′s. Once people in middle America start naming their kids top 10 names, they’re out of vogue.
If I had to wager a guess for her baby name… maybe Lily or Lucy for a girl, Jack or Samuel for a boy. Guess we’ll have to wait and see…
