In a move that you would expect from a bunch of frat brothers circa Animal House, Matthew McConaughey is said to be in favor of naming his upcoming son, expected in July, after his favorite beer.

Fortunately for the kid, McConaughey’s favorite brew is not St. Pauli Girl.

The high-testosterone star apparently loves to chug a Budweiser now and then, so his name of choice for the baby is Bud. It’s reported that his older brother Michael named his second son Miller Lyte, so there is a real family tradition here.

On the upside, mom-to-be Camila Alves, a Brazilian model, is apparently not enamoured of the “Suds r Us” school of baby names. She is said to be averse to the choice, and will be pushing for a more traditional name.

As this puff piece in People shows, the gossip world is building the hype for the Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban baby event, due this summer. So we’ll do a little hyping of our own — Celebrity Baby Names style.

The big question: what baby name will Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban choose?

Keep in mind that Kidman already has two children from her marriage to Tom Cruise — Isabella, 15, and Connor, 12. Both of those names are now somewhat dated, especially Connor. Since we don’t know the sex of the baby, it’s twice as difficult to guess what the name will be, but let’s do it anyway! CONFIRMED: Baby Mama star Amy Poehler, 36, and her husband, actor Will Arnett, 37, are expecting their first child together. The baby is due sometime this fall.

CONFIRMED: One of the icons of the celebrity baby names world is Pilot Inspektor, the four-year-old son of actors Jason Lee and Beth Riesgraf (now Splitsville). Lee’s new girlfriend, Ceren Alkac, is expecting a baby in the fall. It’s the first child for the couple. How on earth are they going to find a name that can hold its own against Pilot Inspektor? UPDATE: May 9. People reports that Lee and Alkac are expecting a girl.
