Baby Girl For Jillian Barberie Of Good Day L.A.

Jillian Barberie, co-host of Good Day L.A., and her husband, actor Grant Reynolds, welcomed a baby girl in Los Angeles on July 6. The baby is named Ruby Raven.

jillian barberie photo Barberie, whose legal name is Jillian Reynolds, also starred in the hit television show Skating with Celebrities. She has kept the name Barberie as her professional name since her former marriage to major league baseball player Bret Barberie. She and Reynolds were married in July, 2006.

So what’s up with the name Ruby? Haven’t seen that one used by a celeb since Tobey Maguire and Jennifer Meyer chose it for their little girl back in October, 2006. It is a name that is increasing in popularity, and it won’t surprise me if this gives it more of a kick up the charts.

In general, there seems to be a spate of rich, romantic names for celebrity baby girls right now — think of Ed Sanders’ triplets, Azure, Scarlette, and Lucia, or the Spanish royal couples’ Princess Sofia, or Keisha Castle-Hughes’ Felicity-Amore, to name a few.

And we can’t overlook the fact that little Ruby was born in July, and Ruby is the gemstone for this month.

One final observation: Her initials are R.R.R. Did one of those nameologists have a hand in this?
