Baby Girl For Tiger Woods And Elin Nordegren
Tiger Woods, and his wife, former Swedish model Elin Nordegren, welcomed their first child together, a daughter, on June 18. The baby girl is named Sam Alexis.
The baby was born less than 24 hours after Woods finished second in the U.S. Open.
Woods and Nordegren announced their daughter’s birth on Woods’s website, saying that mother and baby are both doing well, and they will be posting baby photos on their website shortly. (Wonder how the big gossip mags like that!).
No official word yet on how they chose the name, or whether Sam is short for Samantha.
UPDATE June 20: An interesting post at TravelGolf.com about how Tiger Woods is handling the pressure of a new celebrity baby. Unlike Phil Mickelson, who turned the birth of one of his children into a media event, Woods has played it low-key and classy, refusing to upstage the game, and his fellow golfers at the U.S. Open, with a “Tiger Cub” media circus.

Sam Alex would have been just as cute. I hope it is just Sam and not Samantha.
Hi - I love the name Sam Alexis….. congratulations to all three of you. What wonderful news! May God bless your beautiful baby girl and take care of her wonderful parents.
What a gentle name given to a little girl. Her parents have no idea but their daughter will grow up to be very intellectual but gentle, kind and loving with an ambitious purpose. Her only challenge in this lifetime will be to express herself by learning communications skills at an early age. It should be smooth sailing for this little girl since her blueprint is very domestic and she did not come into this lifetime to experience any major challenges. This is the result of Tiger and his wife picking such a beautiful name for their little girl. There exists a resource whereby parents can easily “test†the baby names they’ve picked before finalizing the name by using Chaldean Numerology to decipher the “code†of the baby’s intended name. This is a mathematical process and the only accurate way to “test†a baby name. Traditional vs. nontraditional naming plays no part in defining the child’s blueprint. It’s all based on a mathematical formula that determines the character of the child based on the name parents assign.
