Access Hollywood's Nancy O'Dell Welcomes Baby Girl
Nancy O’Dell, host of NBC’s Access Hollywood, and of last year’s Miss Universe contest, and her husband Keith Zubchevich, welcomed a baby girl on June 11 in Los Angeles. The baby is named Ashby Grace.
O’Dell, 41, told People that the name Ashby is in honor of her grandfather, while Grace is coined from the name of the church where O’Dell’s parents were married. She also mentioned that Grace is a name in Zubchevich’s family.
The name Ashby is rare as a first name. It’s an Old English name, usually a surname, that literally means “ash tree place.” When used as a first name, it’s considered fair game for girls or boys.
