Norah O'Donnell Is Considering Irish Baby Names
Overhead: At a fancy, DC-area baby shower for MSNBC Live anchor Norah O’Donnell, who is expecting twins (a boy and girl) in May. Baby names haven’t been finalized yet, but according to a report on S.F. Examiner, the shortlist of names is very, very Irish.
O’Donnell reportedly mentioned the name “Padraig” for a boy. No word on a girl’s name yet.
Beltway guests at the baby shower, which was hosted by Rima Al-Sabah, wife of the Kuwaiti ambassador, and Debbie Dingell, wife of Rep. John Dingell, D-Mich., included Assistant Secretary of State Dina Powell; Chief of Staff to the First Lady, Anita McBride; and Edi Gutierrez, wife of Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez.
In addition to anchoring MSNBC Live, O’Donnell has also reported for The Today Show, NBC Nightly News, and Dateline NBC, and has also filled in for Chris Matthews on Hardball.
