Tobey Maguire’s Daughter To Be Named Ruby
According to US Online, Tobey Maguire and fiance Jen Meyer have decided to name their newborn baby Ruby. According to a friend of the couple, they “treasure her like a jewel.” Ruby is actually a pretty neat name. There, I said it! It must be my mellow pre-weekend mood — I actually said I liked a new celebrity baby name!
Ruby, of course, refers to the jewel, and is derived from the Latin word “ruber,” meaning “red.” It’s the birthstone for July, but what the heck. November’s birthstone is citrine, and I don’t think that one’s gonna fly.
