Celebrity Baby Name of the Day
“Pilot Inspektor”
You wouldn’t think, just from looking at them, that actor Jason Lee and fiancee Beth Riesgraf would give their child one of the oddest, most talked-about celebrity baby names ever. But that’s just what they did.
Their son, born September 28, 2003, is named Pilot Inspektor. According to Lee’s bio on Wikipedia, and other sources, they named their son Pilot because of the song He’s Simple, He’s Dumb, He’s the Pilot, by the American rock group Grandaddy. And apparently they just liked the name Inspektor. Ohhhkaaay.
Nothing wrong with liking a song. But how about sparing a thought for the little guy who has to grow up with this moniker? Then again, maybe it’s a Scientology thing, which both Lee and Riesgraf are into. But think about this: would Scientology have become as big as it has if the founder had been named Pilot Inspektor Hubbard?
