Melissa Etheridge And Tammy Lynn Michaels Welcome Twins
Rock legend Melissa Etheridge and her partner Tammy Lynn Michaels are the proud Moms of new twins, Miller Steven and Johnnie Rose. Michaels conceived the twins via an anonymous sperm donor. Now the big question about Miller Steven and Johnnie Rose — which is the girl and which is the boy?
If you guessed Johnnie is the little girl — you guessed right! I really have to wonder why they named her such a plain old American name? Wasn’t it enough that Mira Sorvino named her son Johnny a few months ago? And of course, as regular readers will recall, giving your celebrity baby the middle name “Rose” is becoming so passe that I have to stifle a big yawn.ÂÂ
Last month ushered in Brighton Rose, the daughter of actor Jon Favreau. And Jon Stewart’s daughter, born earlier this year, was named Maggie Rose. English soccer star John Terry recently named his daughter Summer Rose. Enough with the “Roses” already. How about Lilac, for a change, or Daffodil, or something? Come on, these are celebrity baby names we’re talking about. Rose is so not.
Kidding aside, congrats to Etheridge and Michaels. I think they’re a pretty cool couple.
