Linda Evangelista Welcomes Baby Boy

Supermodel Linda Evangelista gave birth to a baby boy on October 11. She’s naming him Augustin James. linda evangelista photorazzi That’s Agustin without the usual “e” on the end. Perhaps it’s not surprising, given her Catholic upbringing, that she chose such a religiously-oriented name — St. Augustine, and all that. I’m not sure why she would drop the last “e,” except that it is considered the French variant. Is this a clue to who Dad is? No-one seems to know yet.

The name Agustin (or Augustine) derives from the Latin word “Augustus,” and means “great, or magnificent.” Now there’s a name to start off your life with!
