Olympic Softball Star Comes Up Aces
Olympics softball star Jennie Finch, and pitcher husband Casey Daigle, welcomed a baby boy on Thursday, May 4th. In deference to Casey, who said he had always wanted to name a son Ace, the couple dubbed their firstborn “Ace Shane.” The name “Ace” apparently comes from the Latin, meaning “one,” so I suppose the intent here is “# 1″. At least that’s what we hope was intended. Other famous Aces include Ace Ventura, pet detective, and Ace Frehley, lead guitarist for rock band Kiss. Hopefully Jennie and Casey are not hoping little Ace will grow up along those lines.
