White Stripes Rocker Seeing Scarlett
Jack White, guitarist and vocalist for rock duo White Stripes, and his wife, model Karen Elson, saw Scarlett — Scarlett Teresa, to be exact — as their first daughter arrived today, May 3, 2006. White Stripes won a Grammy in 2004 for Best Rock Song. The colors red, white and black are signature colors for the band, so it’s not hard to see where they got the name Scarlett. And according to sources, Teresa was chosen in honor of Jack’s mother. Hey, at least they didn’t call her “Peppermint Stripe.”
